Collision Center Queries

Eli’s Collision Repair is Now Hiring Estimators

Eli’s Collision Repair is seeking skilled body shop estimators to join our team in the Los Angeles area. Collision estimators assist customers throughout the repair process and act as a liaison between the customer, parts vendors, and the insurance company. If you are interested in joining our team, we encourage you to apply today.

What is a Collision Estimator?

As mentioned above, a collision estimator acts as a liaison and is often the first point of contact when a customer visits a body shop. Estimators inspect the vehicle and discuss the damage with the customer to determine which damage was a result of the collision and which damage was done prior to the collision.

Collision estimators then collect insurance estimates after evaluating the vehicle. They will then meet with the customer to discuss estimates for repair and labor costs. Estimators place work orders regarding parts replacements and repairs and keep the customer informed throughout the repair process. When a repair is complete, an estimator then completes the final paperwork with the customer.

Estimator Duties at Eli’s Collision Repair

Below, you will find a list of some of the job duties of an estimator at Eli’s Collision Repair:

  1. Promptly greet customers and provide a fair estimate on the cost and time of the completion of body repairs.
  2. Ensure deadlines are met and that the customer remains informed throughout the process.
  3. Handle customer issues in a cordial and professional manner.
  4. Ensure all jobs are given a final inspection to confirm all requests are completed correctly.
  5. Ensure that final billing for completed repair orders is completed before job completion notification is given to the customer.
  6. Keep the customer waiting area clean and organized at all times.
  7. Ensure all estimates are line matched and entered into the management system.
  8. Enter all invoices into the management system.
